How to cast Vote in India


HOW TO CAST VOTE IN INDIA

An election is a formal decision-making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public office. On reaching the polling station, entry will be regulated by queues. On entering the polling station, one has to go to the 1st Polling Officer to show the identity card. After verifying, the 1st Polling Officer will call out the name and voter’s serial number to the 2nd polling officer. Then voter has to go to the 2nd polling officer who will mark the left forefinger with the indelible ink. The voter has to sign or has to give thumb impression in the appropriate column in the Register of Voters. Then the voter is sent to voting compartment where he has to press the blue button on the electronic voting machine against the name and symbol of his choice. There will also be a beep sound heard to indicate that the vote has been successfully recorded.
