“What a risk we took”—Who said this? What was the risk? OR what did the police say to Sivasanker about Sidda?

* Sivasanker came to know about Sidda from police that he was an old criminal and he had been in jail for half a dozen times for stealing jewellery from children. The police also said that he could easily identify Sidda from Sivasanker’s description and the police also said that he knew all his haunts. The police became very furious as Sivasanker did not consult with him before engaging Sidda as a servant in their house. So, Sivasanker thought that it was a great risk to engage such type of criminal in the house.
