Bengali Translation of the poem Sea Fever by John Masefield with Bengali explanation। বাংলায় Sea Fever by John Masefield কবিতার ব্যাখ্যা।

 Sea Fever

John Masefield

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;

And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

Bengali Translation of the poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

তার বাড়ি হয় গ্রামে যদিও;

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Bengali Translation and Summary of the poem The Snail by William Cowper. Class X (WBBSE)

The Snail
William cowper(1731-1800)

To grass, or leaf, or fruit, or wall,
The snail sticks close, nor fears to fall,
As if he grew there, house and all
Together.

Within that house secure he hides,
When danger imminent betides
Of storm, or other harm besides
Of weather.

Give but his horns the slightest touch,
His self-collecting power is such,
He shrinks into his house, with much
Displeasure.

Where'er he dwells, he dwells alone,
Except himself has chattels none,
Well satisfied to be his own
Whole treasure.

Thus, hermit-like, his life he leads,
Nor partner of his banquet needs,
And if he meets one, only feeds
The faster.

Who seeks him must be worse than blind,
(He and his house are so combin'd)
If, finding it, he fails to find
Its master.

DESCRIPTION OF THE CAR FESTIVAL IN KISHORGANJ

In author's birthplace, the quarter-to-four-anna zamindar house was famous for the car festival of Lord Krishna that was held in its grounds. That festival was held once in every year during the monsoon season. Though it rained every year, the huge crowd gathered at the festival ground. Also, the children like the author went to the fair under the supervision of the servants. Children were given money to enjoy the fair and buy toys, dolls. In the fair, there were variety of different toys. The toy called "Spoilt Baby" was most popular toy among the children. Also, there were clay made toys like cats, hounds in chains, cows, birds etc. Those toys seemed very real in colour and design. The children whistled the palm or coconut leave trumpets. When the car of Lord Krishna was drawn, no child was allowed to go near the car as it might cause fatal accident. Sometimes, as a belief, few men immolated their lives under the wheel of the car. Thus, the car festival of Lord Krishna was celebrated in the birthplace of the author.

Subject: Request for running a Cleaning Programme in our Locality

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Madan Ghosh, a resident of Nrisinghapur, Santipur, am writing this letter on behalf of the residents of our locality. We are facing an issue of unhygienic environment in our locality. There is a lot of garbage and debris piled up in the street corners and on the roads, which is not only unpleasant to look at but also a major health hazard. Those garbage have become the breeding place of flies and mosquitoes. We cannot walk in our locality freely. Many diseases have already broken out in our locality.

We have made several attempts to remove the garbage but it is not enough. We are now requesting you to run a cleaning programme in our locality. This would help us to keep our locality clean and free of any health hazards.

We would be very grateful if you could please arrange for the cleaning programme in our locality. (We understand that it is not an easy task and would require a lot of resources. However, we assure you that we would do our part in making the programme a success.) We look forward to your kind understanding and immediate action in this regard.

WRITE A FLOW CHART HOW PADDY IS CULTIVATED

WRITE A FLOW CHART HOW PADDY IS CULTIVATED

Paddy, or rice, is an important staple crop in many countries around the world, including India. The cultivation of this crop requires careful management and attention. To begin, the land is prepared for planting. This involves plowing the land, removing weeds, and then leveling it with a harrow. Once the land is ready, the paddy saplings are planted in lines. It is usually sown by hand in the soil. Then, water is added to the soil using pumps. The soil must also be kept moist and nutrients must be added to the soil in forms of fertilizers or by applying organic compost. Then pest control method is applied to protect the paddy field from pests. Finally, the paddy is harvested when it is ripe.
