Blood donation camps are held all over our state frequently. These camps are operated in a set pattern of activities. At first, camps are set up. Then the names of the donors are enlisted. Next, the blood group of the donor is tested. When the group is tested, the donor is told to lie on a bed. Then his veins are compressed with a thick rubber band by doctor. After this, the skin of the donor is cleaned with ether and a needle is inserted into the vein. The blood comes through a rubber tube and it is collected in a sterilized bottle or polythene bag. Later, it is labelled properly and kept in a refrigerator. Finally, the collected blood is sent to blood bank and stored there for use when blood is needed for ill person.

ISRO LAUNCHED CHANDRAYAN-2

Srihorikota, July 23, 2019: A new feather was on ISRO’s crown on July 222, 2019 when they successfully able to launch Chandrayan-2 from Srihorikota at 2:43 PM and made our nation proud to the world. It was launched by a rocket named GSLV MK-III. This mission was India’s first mission to moon. Its purpose was to expand India’s footprint in the space and to provide many information about moon. It was also a proud moment for us because it was completely developed by Indian Space Research Organization. It had three modules—Lunar Orbiter, Vikram Lander, Lunar Rover named Pragyan. Lunar Orbiter was programmed to orbit the moon while the lander would help the Rover to land on moon and research. Now the whole nation hopefully is looking forward to its success though it will take a long time to complete the mission.

Newspaper which is one of the most common mass media in our lives, is produced through complex procedures. At first many news and photos are collected from different sources by the reporters and the photographers. Then they are sorted and divided under different heads and edited. After it, types are set in the machines or news are typed in computer. After completing typing, when the printing machine is ready to run, the paper rolls are inserted in them. In this way the selected news and photos are printed out. After printing, the newspapers are cut to fixed sizes and folded up. After it, the newspapers are ready for distribution. At last, the newspapers are delivered to the subscribers’ houses and stalls by the hawkers.

HOW BIO-GAS IS PRODUCED

Day by day the natural sources of energy are decreasing due to the excessive use of coal and petroleum products. On the other hand due to the growth of population the need for renewable energy is increasing. Biogas is a renewable energy source, like solar and wind energy. Biogas mainly refers to a gas that is produced by the breakdown of organic substance in the absence of oxygen. Different types of organic materials like fruit and vegetable wastes, eggshells, coffee and tee filters, corn straw, Sudan grass, Liquid or solid manure from animal farming, animal waster etc. are used to produce biogas. Those materials are put in an air-tight tank. Water is added to increase the process of Fermentation which helps to convert the organic materials into methane gas (CH4). Then the emitted gas is stored in a cylinder. This gas can be used in cocking, electricity. Thus environment becomes garbage free which prevents the pollution.

An election is a formal decision-making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public office. On reaching the polling station, entry will be regulated by queues. On entering the polling station, one has to go to the 1st Polling Officer to show the identity card. After verifying, the 1st Polling Officer will call out the name and voter’s serial number to the 2nd polling officer. Then voter has to go to the 2nd polling officer who will mark the left forefinger with the indelible ink. The voter has to sign or has to give thumb impression in the appropriate column in the Register of Voters.
