Role of Hermit/ Character of Hermit.

 Once a Tsar, to get the answers of his three important questions, went to a hermit known for his wisdom. The hermit lived in a wood and lived a simple life and he never quitted his wood. He not only avoided the luxurious life but also did not allow any rich people in his hut. When the Tsar went to him, he was preparing the seedbeds with a spade in his hand. He simply greeted him and continued his digging soil. He was panting heavily. Later he allowed the Tsar to help him by handing him his spade. Though the hermit recognized the Tsar, he behaved with him like a common man.

The unexpected and sudden entry of the wounded man proved the hermit as a helpful man. Also the hermit showed his intelligence by giving Tsar's answers through his activities with the Tsar. The hermit could answer the questions of the Tsar directly, but he did not do so as he knew that one could learn perfectly through personal experience only. So, we can conclude that the character of the hermit is the indefeasible embodiment of wisdom and virtues.
