INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN HARIPUR HIGH SCHOOL

Santipur, Aug16: Yesterday the sixty fourth Independence Day of our country was celebrated in Haripur High School with great enthusiasm. The whole school campus was decorated with national flags, festoons and photos of national heroes. This programme began with hoisting of national flag by the Head Master at 8 a.m. the NCC cadets marched on with drum beating. Then the Head master gave a short speech on the significance of this day followed by the teachers as well as many students. Then a cultural programme was held by the students of our school. In front of the chief guest and the teachers students performed many items. Some students sang patriotic songs. A few recited patriotic poems of Tagore , Nazrul. Also a combined dance was performed by some girls of our school. The programme was ended with the national anthem at 12 noon.
