ANSWER: The title of Octavio’s poem Brotherhood though is not fully linked with the theme thematically, but is completely linked with the theme philosophically. Observing the huge sky and unnumbered stars, the poet comes to realize that human life is very short and the life after death is enormous. Then he tries to find the way to be immortal and by the grace of Muse, he discovers his creations i.e. poetries as the medium to be immortal. The poet considers that after his death when the future world will read his poetries, they will come to know about the poet. Thus a relation i.e. brotherhood will establish between the poet and the readers. Through this brotherhood the poet will be immortal through generations. So, in every sense, the title is very much apt.
