INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY CELEBRATION IN NRISINGHAPUR HIGH SCHOOL

Santipur, Feb 22, 2021: Along with the whole nation and the world, yesterday, Nrisinghapur High School observed 22nd International Mother Language Day with due respect. At 11 a.m., the school brought out a procession with placards, flowers on the road. All the school staffs and students joined the procession bare-footed and they all sang together the historical song: AMAR VAI-ER ROKTE RANGANO EKUSHE FEBRUARY, AMI KI VULITE PARI? Then they all gathered at the Shahid Minar to offer flower to the alters. After that, all returned to flagged-decorated school premises where a cultural programme was held by the school. There students participated in the programme and performed song, recitation. Also, few students performed a small play relating to the importance of the day. The Headmaster gave a significant speech that reminded all of them the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs who laid down their lives only to maintain the honour of their mother tongue ‘Bangla’. The programme ended at 2 pm with national anthem.
